How to ensure you are logging into Coursera using your NetID email through the Canvas LTI

  1. Check which email is being used on your Coursera account.
    1. Log into the site through the Canvas LTI.
    2. Click on your profile icon near the top right corner of the window and select Settings.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    3. If you see their alias email then they will need to do the process below.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Make sure the user has set their primary email to their NetID email. You can follow this Instructure article if needed.
  3. Remove the site cache for Canvas:
    1. Click on the icon next to the site's address in the address bar of your browser.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
    2. Select Cookies and site data and then select Manage on-device site data.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
       
    3. Click the trash can next to all of the entries pertaining to Canvas and then click Done.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Remove the site cache for Coursera:

    3. Click the trash can next to all of the entries pertaining to Coursera and then click Done.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Log into Canvas and try to access the Coursera LTI. 
    1. You should have been prompted to reload each site and sign back in.
    2. Check your account email from step 1.
