International Traveler Status

Use the International Traveler settings in Online Toolkit to help ensure uninterrupted access to university services while traveling outside of your normal location. Choose Transient for temporary international travel or Permanent for extended stays abroad.

Transient vs Permanent

Transient allows for someone to set the international traveler setting for 6 months at a time. Can be turned off at any time. Can be reset again in the future.

Permanent is intended for someone who will be traveling for outside of North America for prolonged period of time (more than 6 months, ideally more than a year). The request must go to the persons manager for approval.

Permanent is only allowed for Faculty, Staff, TSUS Staff, and Retirees.
