To get full VPN access, your computer must be up-to-date with its anti-virus software and have a firewall in place. To troubleshoot firewall issues, contact ITAC.
There are two steps needed to use the VPN:
After completing these two steps, you will be able to use a variety of campus resources otherwise restricted to using while on campus.
Step 1: Install the F5 Endpoint Inspection Scanning Software

- Enter your NetID and password, and click Login.
- Complete NetID 2-Step authentication.
You will need to install Endpoint Inspection which will scan your computer for vulnerabilities before allowing you to access the VPN.
- Click Download.

- When prompted to save the f5epi_setup.exe file, click Save File.

- When asked if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device, click Yes.

The F5 Networks Endpoint Inspector application will open. The link needs to be opened with an application. Make sure F5 Networks Endpoint Inspector is selected and click Open Link.
NOTE: If you will be using VPN frequently, check the box to Remember my choice for f5-epi links.

If you are presented with a security alert that the site "remoteaccess.txstate.edu" is attempting to inspect your system configuration, click Add this site to your Trusted Sites list, and always allow inspection from this site.

You will see a status bar as the software scans your system.
