On October 14, 2025, Microsoft will end support for the Windows 10 operating system. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for computers using Windows 10. To help keep TXST information and data secure, after support ends, Windows 10 computers will no longer be allowed to connect to the TXST wired or wireless network.
Project Timeline
To assist our campus community with moving off of Windows 10 prior to Microsoft's end of support, we have established the following project timeline:
- Now through May 30, 2025 - Free Windows 10 re-imaging to Windows 11 on supported TXST computers (delivery and data backup not included)
- August 30, 2025 - University goal for TXST Windows 10 computers to be upgraded to Windows 11
- October 14, 2025 - Microsoft Windows 10 End of Life
- After October 14, 2025 - Windows 10 computers cannot connect to the TXST network
August 30 Campus Goal: Upgrade all TXST computers to Windows 11

Therefore, we have set a campus goal for TXST computers to upgrade to Windows 11 by August 30, 2025.
We need your help to accomplish this goal. ITAC will work closely with faculty, staff, Department Heads, and Technical Support Staff (TSPs) to offer the following support, information, and services:
