Create Turnitin Assignment Using Feedback Studio
- Click Assignments in the Canvas Course site.
- Click the ellipsis icon next to +Assignment button and select Turnitin.

- Enter the title of the assignment.
- Enter the maximum points the students can earn for the assignment.
- Enter the dates and time the assignment is due and the date and time for feedback to be released.
- Select Optional Settings to expand and view additional Turnitin settings.
- Set Submission Settings
- Standard paper repository: This will allow Turnitin to use the stored document to make similarity checks against any document submitted in the future.
- Institution paper repository: Similarity checks will only be made by other instructors within our institution.
- Do Not Store the submitted papers: Turnitin will not store a copy of the paper and will only be processed for initial similarity checks.
- The teacher can then optionally choose from the following settings:
- The teacher can choose when the similarity checks are generated and what to exclude in the checks.
- The teacher can choose what sources the submitted paper will be compared to.
- If the teacher plans to use the selected settings, they can choose to save them for future use.
- Click Submit and the assignment will be created.
