How to Setup your OneDrive for Business Windows Sync Folder on a Texas State-owned Windows Computer
Click the
Start
menu
, then click
All Programs
. Expand the
Microsoft Office 2016
folder and click
OneDrive for Business.
The Microsoft OneDrive for Business window opens. You will see your NetID in the website link on the screen.
NOTE:
By default, your OneDrive for Business Windows Sync folder will be created in your computer"s C: drive (e.g., C:\Users\yourNetID). Click
Change
to choose a different location for your sync folder to reside.|
TIP:
If you are presented with the below screen asking you to provide a URL, closing, and reopening OneDrive should resolve the issue.
Click
Sync Now
.
Open your
Windows Explorer
file folder. In the Favorites section, you will now see your OneDrive for Business Windows Sync folder called
OneDrive - Texas State University
.
TIP:
Drag and drop files that you wish to sync to your OneDrive for Business account. Once the sync is complete (green check mark on your file), you will be able to access the files from any other device that you have connected to your OneDrive for Business account or by logging in to
Microsoft 365
.
