How to Map to the Department Share on a Mac

Body

  1. Click Finder in the Mac menu bar. 
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. In your Finder Preferences, check the Connected servers check box.

  4. Click Go in the Mac menu bar. Click Connect to Server.

  5. Enter smb://files.txstate.edu/dept for the Server Address. Click Connect.

  6. Enter your NetID (e.g., zzz99) and password. Click Connect.

  7. Click the dept drive icon on the desktop to access the Department Share drive.
