Transition Notice: Follett Discover is Now My Materials
As part of our upgrade to the new Kortex My Materials experience, the Follett Discover tool has been renamed and relocated within Canvas. This guide will help you locate and launch the new tool.
Previous Location: Account Settings
Previously, the Follett Discover tool was accessible by navigating to:
Account > Follett Discover
(This menu item is now deprecated.)
New Location: Global Navigation
To improve accessibility, is now pinned to the My Materials Global Navigation Menu on the left side of your Canvas dashboard. This change ensures that students and instructors can access their materials regardless of course publishing status.
Look for the My Materials link in the main navigation panel:
Global Navigation > My Materials
Enrollment Requirement
When launching My Materials, the system checks for active course enrollment. If a user is not currently enrolled in a course, the following message may appear:
“We cannot find your course enrollment information.”
This is expected behavior for users without active SIS-linked enrollments (e.g., test accounts, future enrollments).
