Setup Process

  1. As an instructor, open the Microsoft Education LTI from the course navigation.
  2. You will then be prompted to start the setup process. Click Continue setup.

  3. From here, you will be able to enable/disable any of the available MS services and adjust the notification settings. Click Done to continue.

  4. You will be asked whether you want a Team to be created for this class. Click Create. If you click Cancel, then a team will not be created and the Teams option will not be available in the LTI(although you can add it using the course settings are in the LTI later).

  5. The LTI will create a SharePoint site labeled "GRP-[class name]" and a Team with the same name(if you elected to do so).
  6. If you plan on using Class Notebook, you will need to set one up. This can be done after the initial LTI setup if desired.
    1. From the Microsoft Education LTI, select Class Notebook.

    2. You will then be prompted to set one up. Click Set up a OneNote Class Notebook and then select a Blank Notebook or From existing notebook content(this allows instructors to bring over sections from other class notebooks).
    3. If you are creating one from existing content, you will have the option to add existing sections to the Content Library and Teacher section.

    4. You will then have the option to customize the private student sections. Add or remove any desired sections and then click Create.

  7. The LTI is now ready for use.
