Change Preferred Name

Body

Faculty, Staff, and Guest can change their preferred first name in fischer under my profile. Students are blocked and can only change it via Catsweb/SSB/Self-Service Banner.

 

Can take up to 24 hours for their name to update across all systems.

  1. In Online Toolkit, go to My Profile and submit at the bottom.

A screenshot of the My Profile page highlights the Preferred First Name field within the Employee Information section. The highlighted field shows where users can view or update the first name that is displayed in university systems and services.
