Manage Duo Devices

Body

Online Toolkit allows for you to manage your own Duo devices under My Security. Users can add, remove, or reactivate a device.

 

Reactivate Device
  1. Under My Security, select the 3 dots on the device tile and click Reactivate.

  2. Click Ok
    • A warning dialog prompts the user to confirm reactivation of a Duo device, noting that the device will be unavailable for push authentication until a new code is scanned. The dialog includes Cancel and OK buttons.
       
  3. Click Activate using DUO Mobile.
    • A Link Duo Device screen displays the heading “Choose a verification method” with “Activate using DUO Mobile” shown as the available activation option.
       
  4. If you are on mobile device
    1. select Open in Duo Mobile and add the account in Duo.
      • A Duo Mobile activation page provides instructions for registering a device and includes a highlighted link labeled “Open in the Duo Mobile app.” The page also offers an option to select a different verification method.
         
  5. If you are on a non-mobile device.
    1. In the DUO Mobile App, select Add +.
      • The Duo Mobile app’s Accounts screen shows an existing Texas State University account, with the “Add” button and plus icon highlighted in the upper-right corner to indicate where users can add a new account.
         
    2. Select Use QR Code and scan the QR code on the screen.
      • A Duo Mobile menu displays the “Use QR code” option highlighted, indicating the step for scanning a QR code to activate or link an account.
         
  6. Once completed device will be reactivated.

 

Add New Device
  1. Click Add a device.

  2. Go through the steps and through activation of each device. 
    1. Mobile Phone
      •  An Add Device form is configured for a Mobile Phone, showing fields for the device name, platform type, country code, and phone number. A confirmation checkbox and Submit button are available to complete the device registration.
         
    2. Tablet
      • An Add Device form is configured for a Tablet, with fields for the device name and platform type set to Apple. The form includes Clear and Submit buttons for completing the tablet registration.
         
    3. Landline
      1. An Add Device form is configured for a Landline, showing fields for the device name, country code, phone number, and optional extension. The form includes a confirmation checkbox and Submit button to register the phone number.

 

Remove Device
  1. Click the three dots on the tile for the device and click remove.

  2. Click OK to confirm removal
    • A warning dialog informs the user that removing the device will disassociate it from the account. The dialog includes Cancel and OK buttons to confirm or cancel the action.
       

 

 

Rename Device
  1. Click the 3 dots on the tile and click Rename

  2.  Change device name and click Rename
    • A Rename Device dialog box displays the current device name in an editable field and provides Cancel and Rename buttons to save or discard the change.
