The Virtual Private Network (VPN) securely connects faculty, staff, and contract employees to the Texas State network through an encrypted connection.
At TXST, non-faculty or non-staff individuals, such as vendors or external collaborators, can request VPN access to connect securely to TXST systems. This access must be approved to ensure compliance with university network security policies and will require justification for access and verification of the external party’s role. Once granted, VPN access allows authorized individuals to access restricted resources necessary for their collaboration with the university.
