Software Purchasing Process

The IT Business Services team provide the following services during the purchasing process:

  • Obtain pricing information, purchase order, and track the delivery of requested software
    • NOTE: If you already have a quote for pricing, please attach to all submitted requests
  • Acquire all necessary authorizations, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Information Security, and any other needed approvals

Where to Begin When Purchasing Software

  1. Search for the software title on this website to see if the software you are looking for is currently available.
  2. Search for the software in SAP's TSUS Marketplace, and submit your order request there.
  3. If you don't see the software in either of the above places, submit a Software License Purchase Request.

Canvas External Tool (LTI) Purchase Request
Canvas offers the ability to integrate with External Tools, also known as External Apps or Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI tools).
Cloud Services Software Purchase Request
Cloud-hosted applications, products, and services hosted outside of Texas State's data centers that are accessed across the Internet.
Local Server Software Purchase Request
Software, applications, and virtual appliances that are hosted, installed, or run on physical or virtual servers located in Texas State's data centers.
Mobile Application Purchase Request
Apps installed on mobile devices for use on phones or tablets.
Workstation Software Purchase Request
Software and apps that are only installed on and used on individual desktop or laptop computers.
