Psychology Student Travel Request

This form should only be filled out if you have:

  1. Submitted an EASY form,
  2. Forwarded proof of your acceptance to present at conference to either Kim Burns (Undergraduate Students) or Olivia Reyes (MAPR students)

General Information

*Note: Travel funding will be tiered between out of state/international conferences, conferences within 90 miles of the university, and in state conferences beyond 90 miles of the university.    (Please see below)

All travel funding will be given to students in the form of reimbursement. However, students who wish to have the university pay for their flight(s) — up to their awarded amount — can do so. Everything else will be reimbursed.

Students are encouraged to sign up for conference volunteer work as conferences often offer this in lieu of registration payment.

Once a student returns from their conference, they will need to send the following documents to either Olivia Reyes (MAPR students) or Kim Burns (Undergraduate students):

  • Conference program (daily summary not necessarily the long detailed one)
  • Conference registration receipt (note that only early bird registration rates are reimbursed)
  • Hotel receipt (actual bill, not reservation receipt)
    • If sharing a hotel room, students must provide a screenshot of the Venmo/CashApp/PayPal/etc. of portion paid/split either sent to the student or that the student sent to the person who booked the hotel.
  • Flight
  • Uber/Lyft/Taxi/etc. Receipts (the university will reimburse up to a 20% tip) Though the university will pay students per diem — up to their awarded amount — please do not send us your meal receipts. Per diem is set at a certain price for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
