How to Set Up Top Hat for Students

Body

  1. Log in to Canvas and navigate to your course. 
  2. Click Top Hat. (If the page does not redirect to a new tab click the open in New Tab button)
  3. You will be prompted to create a Top Hat account. Click Sign-in as a Student.

  1. Enter First and Last name as well as your TXST Net ID email address in the appropriate fields.

  1. You may be prompted to enter your Net ID and Phone number. Phone number entry is optional and may be skipped.
  2. Your Top Hat Account creation is complete. Close the window and return to your Canvas course site.
