Texas State uses Microsoft Entra security groups to manage who can access applications through Single Sign-On (SSO). If your product/service should only be available to a specific set of users (such as students, staff, or a department), access will be managed through one or more security groups.
Our security groups typically follow a standard naming format such as:
APP-Department-ApplicationName-UserType
Example: APP-ITAC-Zoom-Students
