Migrate S: drives to MS365 (Sharepoint/TEAMS)

Texas State University is transitioning away from traditional network file storage. Departmental S: Drives are being migrated to SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, while individual U: Drives are being migrated to OneDrive. These Microsoft 365 services will serve as the university’s primary solutions for departmental and individual file storage and collaboration.

As part of this transition, requests for additional S: or U: Drive storage will be approved only under exceptional circumstances where a documented business or technical requirement cannot reasonably be met using SharePoint, Teams, or OneDrive.

Before submitting a request for additional network storage, please consider whether your storage needs can be addressed using the appropriate Microsoft 365 solution. Requests for additional storage should include the business justification, amount of storage required, and reason the available Microsoft 365 storage options do not meet the need.
