The Microsoft 365 LTI app brings Microsoft 365 Education experiences like Microsoft Assignments, OneDrive/Microsoft 365 files, Teams for collaboration, Teams Meetings, OneNote, and more to your learning management system (LMS).

Who has access?

Anyone with access to Canvas and a M365 license.

How is it accessed?

All of the available tools (OneDrive, ClassNotebook, Teams) can be accessed by clicking on Microsoft Education in the course navigation.

How do I migrate from the classic M365 LTIs??
  • OneDrive: You will need to use the migration tool to migrate your class OneDrive data to the new LTI.
  • Class Notebook: Does not have a way to automatically migrate notes. You will need to manually copy any notebooks over to the notebook that is created with the new LTI.
  • Teams: N/A
  • Meeting: N/A
How do instructors setup the LTI?

An instructor will need to open the Microsoft Education LTI from the course Navigation to begin the setup process. Please reference the First Time setup article for more information.
