How to Access Texas State RemoteApps from a Mac Computer

  1. Go to  RemoteApps.
  2. Select Click Here to Download VMware Horizon Client.
  3. Click Go To Downloads under Omnissa Horizon Client for Mac.

  4. Click Download Now.
                                                     
  5. Run the executable downloaded

  6. Once run, you will be prompted to install the application. 
  7. Double-click on Omnissa Horizon Client.pkg.

  8. Follow the instructions to install Omnissa Horizon.

  9. Open the Omnissa Horizon client

  10. You will be prompted to add a server. Add https://remote.txstate.edu

  11. Select Connect.

  13. Please note, you will be prompted to allow keystrokes on your Mac device. Please allow access to VMWare under Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring.

  14. A browser screen will open, and you will be prompted to log in with your NetID and password.

  15. Once you have logged in with your NetID and Duo authentication, you will be asked to open the Omnissa Horizon Client, press Allow.
     
  16. You may be prompted to allow accessibility settings on your Mac device.  Please allow access to Omnissa under Privacy & Security > Accessibility.

  17. You will be prompted to accept an elevated permission prompt. If you agree to the license terms and privacy agreement, select Agree & Install
     
  18. Click on the application you wish to launch
